Summer Sky

Today is cold, rainy and dark. Actually very very rainy. So rainy my trousers were soaking wet by the time I got home. I don’t like this at all.

What I would like is to still be in my summer dress and sandals taking a million and one pictures of this beautiful sunset with the gentle splashing of the waves as background sound. Feeling warm, and totally, totally content.

Still, I know that I am very fortunate to have had such a beautiful summer in such an amazing setting. Memories that will carry me through winter, sitting by a log fire. When you come to think of it, not too bad either……….

This is a picture of my favorite holiday spot. We have been going there as a family for years and I never ever tire of the site.

The views are simply amazing from dawn to dusk. The light and the colors simply stunning.

I have a feeling you will be getting quite a few pictures of the sea side by the time September comes again!

Macaroon and Coffee Break

I did hesitate in putting this picture under Baking and pretend that these were my last batch of macaroons but it would have been quite dishonest. So, I didn’t but I do wish I had made them.

On a holiday in France with family, we had those for our desert. No special occasion, just what is on offer. Near where we stayed, there is a bakery which only specializes in macaroons. The store is quite small but to see all the different types of macaroons that are baked on site, both sweet and savory, is amazing. The colors and the shapes are just perfect and the taste….. one ever is hardly enough!

This picture totally describes the moment: perfect. A treat to the eyes and to the palett not to be forgotten.

I very much like this picture. It is not professional but that does not matter. Most of us are not professionals. We are touched by the moment, moved by our thoughts and emotions that possess are mind and hearts. I love the freshness of this picture. All those objects that are a mix and match but when put together all become cohesive as if they were meant to be. The plants add a touch of color and freshness to it all. I do feel welcomed.
